what we believe?
God
We believe in one God, existing eternally in three Persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each Person of the Godhead is equal in power and glory, identical in attributes, and worthy of all honor, worship and praise. (Genesis 1:26; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17; 1 John 5:7)
Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin. He became the God-man; as much God as if He had never been man, and as much man as is He had never been God. He lived on this earth as our example of sinlessness and died on a cruel Roman cross as the atonement for our sins, and for the sins of the whole world. He was buried in a borrowed grave, and on the third day arose bodily from the grave, conquering death and hell. He ascended into heaven and is presently at the right hand of God the Father serving as our great High Priest, our Intercessor, and our Advocate (Matthew 1:20-21; Luke 1:34-35; Hebrews 2:16-17; John 1:14; Hebrews 4:15; 1 John 2:2; Matthew 27:57-60; Luke 24; Acts 1:3,9; Hebrews 9:24)
Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Triune God, indwells all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, baptizes them into the Body of Christ, and seals them until the day of redemption (Romans 8:9-16; Ephesians 1:13-14)
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inerrant and infallible Word of God. We profess the plenary-verbal view that every word in the Old and New Testament is inspired by God. Contained within the pages of the Holy Bible are the truths and principles on which the sanctified life must be founded (11Timothey 3:16-17; Matthew 5:18)
The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, comprised of all believers with Christ as its Head. The purpose of the Church is to exalt the Savior, equip the saints, and evangelize the sinner (Colossians 1:18; Matthew 28:18-20)
Sin
We believe that man, though he was created in God’s image, fell into sin by way of the “first Adam,” and thereby brought upon himself both spiritual and physical death, and that all human beings share this guilt and inherit the sin nature from the first Adam (Romans5:12; 3:23)
Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift from God give to an understanding recipient. Salvation is given by God at the moment a person professes saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior (Romans 3:23-25; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 2:24)
The Second Coming of Christ
We believe in the future two-fold return of Jesus Christ; first, in the imminent return of Christ for His saints (the Church) which will usher in the Great Tribulation (we are convinced that the Word of God teaches the pre-tribulation, pre-millennial rapture of the Church) (John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:51-53; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Titus 2:13); next, in the Second Coming of Christ with His saints which will end the Great Tribulation and establish the millennial reign of Christ on earth (Jude 14; Isaiah 40:5,10; Matthew 16:27, 24:30; 2 Thessalonians 2:8; Revelation 19:11-13, 16,19-21; 20:4,6)
Future Resurrection and Judgment
We believe in the future two-fold resurrection and judgment of mankind: first, in the Judgment Seat of Christ at which the saved will be rewarded (1 Thessalonians 4:14; 1 Corinthians 3:13-14; 2 Corinthians 5:10; 1 Peter 1:7); next, in the Great White Throne Judgment at which the lost will be condemned (Daniel 7:9-10; Revelation 20:11-15)
Satan
We believe that Satan is a real celestial person conceived by sin, not God; committed to sin against God; and condemned, because of sin, by God (Ezekiel 28:12-17; Isaiah 14:12-15)
Spiritual Gifts
We believe that a special gift is a supernatural ability to glorify God, given by the Holy Spirit to every believer at the moment of salvation. There are many such gifts, and it is vital to the Body of Christ and advantageous to the Kingdom of God that every Christian discover and develop his own gift or gifts (1 Corinthians 12:4,11,13; 1 Peter 4:10; Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 12: Ephesians 4)
Eternal Security
We believe the doctrine of Eternal Security clearly teaches that all Christians have been eternally sought by God the Father, eternally saved by God the Son, and eternally sealed by God the holy Spirit, and that we as Christians must walk eternally secure in that knowledge (2 Thessalonians 2;13; Matthew 25:34; John 3:16; 10:27-29; Romans 8:35-39; Ephesians 4:30; 5:8)
Marriage
We believe that marriage is a covenant relationship instituted by God between a man and a woman; a conjugal relationship intended by God to remain between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:12,21-25; 1:27-28; Malachi 2:14; Romans 1:26-27)
Sanctity of Life
We believe that life is a gift from God; that each life begins at conception; and that every life is created by God’s power, for God’s purpose, to fulfill God’s plan (Acts 17:25; Jeremiah 1:5; Psalm 139:13-16; Ephesians 2:10)
